Ukrainian forces attacked the Taneko oil refinery in Tatarstan and a large oil terminal in the Krasnodar Territory of Russia on August 19 and on the night of August 20.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The refinery in Nizhny Kamsk can process up to 16 million tons of oil per year. In particular, it produces motor fuel for the Russian army.
On August 10, the refinery was already flying in on this. After todayʼs attack, a fire broke out at the plant.
The second facility attacked was “Tamannaftogas: in Volna. It is one of the key Russian oil terminals in the Black Sea region. It was last attacked by Ukrainian drones on June 13.
The companyʼs capacity provides for the transshipment of up to 19.9 million tons of oil, oil products and liquefied hydrocarbon gases per year. The terminal tranships oil and oil products from rail transport to sea vessels. The facility meets the logistical and fuel needs of the Russian military.
