On the night of June 12, Ukrainian military attacked oil refineries in the Russian Tatarstan and the Togliattikauchuk plant, as well as Russian command and observation posts and control points in the temporarily occupied territories.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Yes, one of the targets of the Defense Forces that night was the TANEKO and TAIF-NK oil refineries in Tatarstan.
- TANEKO is one of the largest refineries in Russia with a processing capacity of over 16 million tons of oil per year. The company produces a wide range of fuels and lubricants, including diesel fuel, aviation fuel, and other petroleum products.
- "TAIF-NK" is a high-tech complex, which is distinguished by an extremely high depth of oil processing. It processes heavy high-sulfur oil and gas condensate. The plantʼs products are divided into several key segments — from bulk fuel to specific raw materials for petrochemicals and military needs.
Fires broke out at both enterprises after the strikes.
The Togliattikauchuk plant in the Samara region was also hit. The enterprise produces synthetic rubbers and chemical components for industry, including defense purposes. A fire broke out there after the strike.
In addition, Ukrainian troops attacked a number of command and observation posts in the Kursk and Kherson regions, a communications hub and Russian control points in the Donetsk region, positions of Russian troops in Zaporizhzhia, and warehouses in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
- The General Staff also confirmed the consequences of the June 10 attack on the Kuibyshev refinery in the Samara region — the AVT-4 and AVT-5 primary oil processing units and the RVS-2000 tank were hit. The plant has stopped operating.
