In Izyum, Kharkiv region, 19 streets were renamed, the names of which are related to Russia and the Soviet past.
Deputy Mayor of Izyum, Volodymyr Matsokin, announced this.
In particular, the following were renamed:
- Alyabyeva Street — to Valery Lobanovskyi Street;
- Borodin Street — to Dmytro Yavorynytskyi Street;
- Volodymyr Vysotsky Street — to Steve Jobs Street;
- Eskadronna Street — to Roman Kyrylov Street;
- Kostenko General Street — to Maksym Popravka Street;
- Krasnoyarska Street — to Ruslan Kramarenko Street;
- Ostrovsky Oleksandra Street — to Oleksandra Mokhova Street;
- Panfilova Street — to Golda Meir Street;
- Putiina Street — to Roman Shukhevych Street;
- Radhosp "Izyumskyi" Street — to Mariupolska Street;
- Rokossovsky Street — to Yaroslav the Wise Street;
- Serova Street — to Eduarda Kopychka Street;
- Tsoi Viktor Street to Kuzma Skryabin Street;
- Tsusimska Street — to Viacheslav Chornovola Street;
- Chelyuskina Street — to Levko Lukyanenko Street;
- Chernyshevskogo Street — to Diana Petrynenko Street;
- Chernyakhivskogo Street — to Buchanska Street;
- March 8 Street — to Irpinska Street;
- Druzhba Street to Valentina Cherevko Street.
- On December 24, the Kharkiv Regional Council decided to rename the Pushkin Kharkiv Academic Russian Drama Theater. From now on, the institution is called the Kharkiv Academic Drama Theater.
