Zelensky signed a law that allows directing the Territorial Defense Forces into the combat zone

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed Law #6521, which allows directing the Territorial Defense to the war zone.

According to the document, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces decides on the implementation of tasks by the TD forces in the "hot spots". The authors of the law believe that the changes will more effectively protect the state from large-scale invasion.

• On April 6, 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers allowed the Territorial Defense to use heavy weapons.
