A Ukrainian citizen Serhiy P. was detained in Poland, suspected of attempting to assassinate a representative of a Ukrainian defense enterprise.
RMF24 writes about this.
The Polish Internal Security Agency detained a 63-year-old Ukrainian citizen in Warsaw on August 5, but this became known only today.
According to the investigation, he planted explosives under the car of a representative of the Ukrainian defense industry in Irpen, on the orders of Russian special services. The device was supposed to be detonated remotely via a mobile phone, but the mechanism did not work.
After the failed attempt, the man fled to Poland, where he was arrested. He was charged with attempted murder and sent to prison for three months.
- This is the second such arrest in Poland. Earlier, on August 7, Polish law enforcement officers detained a Russian who was preparing to kill a Ukrainian “inconvenient for Putin’s regime”. Later, it turned out that the victim of the assassination attempt was supposed to be rapper “Kyivstoner" — he had previously been accused in Russia of preparing a terrorist attack in Russia.
