Over the past day, July 27, the Russian army lost another 1,180 soldiers killed and wounded, as well as military equipment.
This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, the Defense Forces destroyed another 13 Russian tanks, 21 armored combat vehicles, 51 artillery systems, two rocket salvo fire systems, one anti-aircraft defense device, 30 operational-tactical drones, two cruise missiles and 72 units of automotive equipment.

Ukraine and Russia give almost no information about their losses in the war. Moscow officially last named the number of people killed in September 2022 — then they declared 5,937 dead. Kyiv did not do this for a long time, saying that the data would be disclosed after the war.
On February 25, 2024, for the first time since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the number of dead Ukrainian soldiers — 31,000. He did not name the number of wounded and missing.

- The other day it was reported that Russia has started using two new types of cheap drones as a decoy for Ukrainian air defenses to learn its location. These drones are usually made of styrofoam and plywood and cost ten times less than the Shahed strike drones. Unlike Shahed, the first type of explosives does not carry — only a Ukrainian SIM card and a camera to record the location of air defenses in Ukraine and send images to the Russian military. Instead, another type can carry a small charge. In order for the Russian military to receive data on the location of the air defense system, it must shoot down this drone. And since such drones are almost indistinguishable from the Shahed from the ground, they will be shot down. In addition, they can fly at an altitude of a thousand meters — where neither machine guns nor anti-drone rifles can reach them.
