On the night of August 22, Ukrainian units struck the Novokuybyshevsk oil refinery in the Samara region of the Russian Federation, 1 000 km from the state border of Ukraine.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The plant processes about 8.8 million tons of oil per year. It produces more than 20 different types of petroleum products — automotive and aviation fuel, diesel, and various lubricant components.

The refinery is part of “Rosneft”.

OSINT channels also reported that the logistics warehouse of Ozone in Chapayevsk (Samara region), was under attack — this is the first time that this marketplace’s facilities have been attacked. A fire broke out there.
