Approximately 56% of Ukrainians believe that the US is getting tired of Ukraine and is trying to persuade Kyiv to make concessions to Russia.
This is evidenced by the results of a survey by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS), conducted from May 7 to June 3.
At the same time, 30% of those surveyed are convinced that Washington continues to support Ukraine and seeks to end the war on terms acceptable to it.
Also, 64% of respondents believe that European countries continue to support Ukraine and want to end the war on fair terms. Only 25% are convinced that Europe is tired of the war and is trying to put pressure on Kyiv.
KIIS notes that compared to January 2026, the share of Ukrainians who positively assess Europeʼs position towards Ukraine increased from 58% to 64%.
In addition, sociologists have discovered an interesting effect: if you first ask about the US and then about Europe, support for Europe in the eyes of respondents increases to 67%.
- The survey was conducted by telephone among 1 000 adult residents of government-controlled territories of Ukraine. The stated margin of error does not exceed 4.1%.
