On December 14, American actor and director Rob Reiner and his wife Michelle were found dead in their Los Angeles home. Police are treating it as an "apparent homicide".
The information about the Reinersʼ death was confirmed by a family spokesman.
A Los Angeles Times source said the bodies of the victims bore stab wounds, but there were no signs of forced entry.
Law enforcement sources told the media that a family member of the Reiners is being questioned in connection with their death. But no one has been arrested yet.
The American magazine People, citing sources, writes that their son Nick may have been involved in the death of 78-year-old Rob and 68-year-old Michelle Reiner. The publication notes that in 2016, Nick spoke about his long-standing struggle with drug addiction, which began in adolescence.
The police have not yet officially confirmed this information.
