The Israeli authorities announced the largest cyberattack in the history of the country on government websites.
Haaretz writes about it.
As a result of the DDoS attack, the websites of the Ministries of Interior, Health, Justice, and Social Security, as well as the website of the Prime Ministerʼs Office, ceased to function.
The National Cyber Government has declared a state of emergency to investigate the extent of the damage. Critical infrastructure, such as energy and water companies, is also being checked to see if they have been attacked.
Experts claim that the attack affected sites on the.gov.il domain, which is used for all government sites, except those related to defense. Telecommunications companies are currently working to restore the sites.
