Ukraine took second place in the team standings of the Paralympic Games. This is the best result in the history of Ukrainian performances

Ukrainian national team took second place in the Winter Paralympic Games in Beijing — if to count by the number of awards.

Overall, Ukrainian athletes won 29 medals: 11 gold, 10 silver, and 8 bronze. In two sports (biathlon and skiing) Ukraine was represented by 29 athletes. Thus, Ukrainian athletes have shown the best result at the Winter Paralympics since 1998.
