People with disabilities and mental disorders were held in the Ternopil TRC, and the supervisor of the mobilized was drunk

An inspection of the Ternopil TRC revealed that people with disabilities and mental disorders were being held there, and the supervisor of the mobilized people was drunk.
This was reported by Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets.
According to Lubinets, during the visit of his representatives, approximately 28 people were in the TRC premises. 17 of them filed written complaints about violations of their rights.
Representatives of the Ombudsman released five people from the TRC who were not subject to mobilization. Among them were a man with a lifelong disability of group II since childhood, two people with mental disorders, and two men who had less than six months left until the age of 60.
Violations were also recorded during the processing of documents and MMC. Moreover, one of the employees had a blood alcohol level almost 7 times higher than the norm.
All violations were recorded and passed on to management to prevent similar situations in the future, Lubinets said.
- Officials of the Uzhhorod District TRC were charged with illegal detention and torture of 21 men on June 4. According to the investigation, the men were held in the premises of the District TRC from February to April, even though they were supposed to be exempted from conscription.
