HACC arrested a suspect of bribing ex-deputy minister Lozynskyi

The Higher Anti-Corruption Court arrested businessman Serhiy Kryvyi, who is suspected of organizing the transfer of $400 000 in illegal benefits to the former deputy minister of community development, territories and infrastructure Vasyl Lozynskyi. He can also make a deposit of 100 000 472 hryvnias.

This was reported by the press service of the court.

He was taken into custody in the courtroom. The term of detention is until March 24, 2023 inclusive.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) later reported that all five participants in the bribery had been informed of the suspicion. Precautionary measures will be chosen for all of them.

• According to NABU and SAPO, Lozynskyi negotiated with the entrepreneur and his accomplices to purchase mobile boilers at inflated prices with state funds. With Lozynskyʼs consent, he wanted to receive a kickback of 7-10% of the contract amount. Journalists noted that the official was to receive $400 000. The total amount of the tender was 1.8 billion hryvnias. The ex-deputy was detained on January 22.
• The other day, the Cabinet of Ministers dismissed Vasyl Lozynskyi from the position of the Deputy Minister of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine.
