During the 9th International Veterans Forum, President Volodymyr Zelensky proposed creating a Veterans Code.

Zelensky reported this on Telegram.

The President instructed the Rada and the Government to communicate with veterans and prepare proposals. In particular, Zelensky called for a review of the adaptation of veterans to civilian life, the system of services, and the operation of public spaces. According to the President, there are 1.5 million veterans in Ukraine.

Zelensky also emphasized that it is necessary to digitize every "piece of paper" and make the information automatic so that veteransʼ families do not have to deal with certificates.

At the same time, Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky said that the government wants to create another 100 000 jobs for veterans and is considering a separate "hour in the telethon" for information about veteran programs.

• In early July, it became known that Ukrainian veterans who completely or partially lost their sight due to the war will receive a one-time cash benefit of up to UAH 95 000.
