The NATO Military Committee will visit Ukraine in October. This will be the first official visit in eight years.
This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi after his first conversation with the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee Giuseppe Cavo Dragone.
Drapatiy reported to Dragone about the situation at the front and the priorities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine — air defense, long-range strikes, flexible infantry tactics, and robotization of the front line.
According to the commander-in-chief, the admiral has been to Ukraine three times, seen the situation on the ground, "and this is felt in the conversation".
"Ukraine not only receives support. We are transferring combat experience that no one has today, and it works for the security of the entire Alliance," Drapatiy added.
Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone also confirmed NATOʼs continued military support for Ukraine. According to him, the Alliance members continue to increase defense production both to protect their citizens and to support the Ukrainian military.
“Ukraine’s security is our security, and we will continue to stand by Ukraine to help achieve a just and lasting peace,” Dragone wrote.
- The NATO Military Committee is the highest military body of the Alliance, advising the North Atlantic Defence Council on matters of defence and directing military operations. It is composed of the chiefs of defence staff of all NATO member countries.
