The White House reported that Melania Trump helped bring Ukrainian children home for the third time

The US First Lady Melania Trump facilitated another reunion of Russian and Ukrainian children with their families.

This was reported by the White House on February 12.

They added that this is the third return of children with the participation of the First Lady of the United States. They did not specify exactly how many children were returned this time.

"I appreciate that Russia and Ukraine are committed to the return of children who have been displaced by the circumstances surrounding this conflict. While all parties are cooperating and our communications remain strong, I urge Russia and Ukraine to intensify their efforts to ensure the safe return of every child to their families and caregivers," the White House quoted the US first lady as saying.

Ukraine has not yet officially commented on this information. And Russian Ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova, whose arrest warrant was issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for the deportation of Ukrainian children, says that four boys and one girl have returned to Ukraine.

In total, 15 children have already returned to Ukraine with the assistance of Melania Trump, seven of whom will return in December 2025. The US First Lady says she continues to negotiate with both countries about the return of the children.
